Pulenta Estate, Gran Malbec X 2020

Pulenta Estate was founded in 1902 by Angelo & Palmina Pulenta who arrived to Argentina from Ancona, Italy. Now into its fourth generation of family ownership, Pulenta Estate has established themselves as one of Argentina's premier producers and make some of the country's most-loved wines. Gran Malbec X 2020 is made from 100% Malbec taken from some of Pulenta's best vines in the high altitude region of Uco Valley. The grapes were harvested and aged for 12 months in 20% new French oak barrels. The nose has enticing aromas of mountain herbs, ripe plum, blueberry and violet against an oaky backdrop. The palate is indulgent, equal parts plush and velvety, with further black fruit notes on the long finish. An exceptional Malbec and one best paired with a ribeye steak.
